Two kinds of protection

Sports guards and night guards

Sports guards cushion the teeth, lips and jaw during contact sports and activities where falls are common. A custom guard stays in place, so it’s easier to breathe and talk while wearing it.

Night guards help protect teeth from clenching and grinding while you sleep. Grinding can wear down enamel, crack teeth and leave your jaw sore in the morning.

Common questions

Mouth guard FAQ

How do I know if I grind my teeth?

Common signs include morning jaw soreness, headaches, worn or chipped teeth and sensitivity. We can look for signs of wear during your exam.

How long does it take to get a custom guard?

We take impressions at one visit, and your guard is usually ready for a fitting at a follow-up appointment.

How do I clean my mouth guard?

Rinse it after each use, brush it gently with cool water and store it in its case to dry. Avoid hot water, which can warp it.
